Cable Tv. We were paying over a $100 for service and my family only used netflix or chromecast to watch YouTube on our TV. Canceled it last year as a trial and haven't missed it yet.
Phone Line. We bought an Ooma device 6 years ago and pay $3.14 in taxes every month. It's good for unlimited calls nationwide.
Drinks at restaurants. My family doesn't drink soda or other overly sweet drinks so this helps the wallet and our waistlines. Gourmet Coffee is a yearly treat for me. We buy nice coffee and make our own at home.
Salon Services. I do all of my waxing, grooming, nails, etc. at home. I do get my hair professionally colored every 3-4 months in my own home and then do touchups myself using the same professional hair color. Saves a ton in money and time.
Interest payments. We use a credit card for convenience and cash back then pay it off at the end of the month. We never ever purchase anything we have to finance.
Car payments/upgrades. Irfan and I own cars we purchased brand new, in cash, and will drive them into the junk yard.
We always comparison shop before handing over our hard earned cash and get cash back on all our online shopping using sites like http://bit.ly/23l80yN. This adds up to $150-300 cash back for my family. Free cash back on things I would have purchased anyways.
Would love to hear some of your money saving tips.
